The San Diego District Attorney’s Office has been a leader in the field of Elder Abuse for almost two decades.  This program will provide information regarding the District Attorney’s Role in our Law Enforcement Community, Elder Abuse Dynamics, and specific information on the latest trends involving Elder Abuse of all varieties impacting our community. 

 

Speaker:

Scott Pirrello

Scott Pirrello is the Head of Elder Abuse Prosecutions for the San Diego District Attorney’s Office and has been a prosecutor for 14 years. Since 2009, Scott has been assigned to the Family Protection Division, prosecuting a variety of Family Violence cases including Elder Abuse, Domestic Violence, and Child Abuse cases.  Scott now focuses exclusively on prosecuting all varieties of Elder Abuse including physical, financial, sexual, and neglect cases and the vulnerable victims that come with them.   Scott has more than 40 jury trials to his credit including cases involving murder, sexual assault, child molest, Domestic Violence, Elder Abuse, three strikes, and others. Scott is an expert in Elder Abuse enforcement, prosecution, and on the multi-disciplinary team approach to Elder Abuse prevention.

 

Continuing Education Credits Pending:

This continuing legal education course is intended for Experienced Attorneys and Newly Admitted Attorneys and is pending for up to 1.0 California MCLE credit hour, 1.0 New York CLE credit hour r, 1.0 CFP credit for CFP® professionals and certificates will be available for CE credit for CPAs and CSPG professionals.
