Alan is an economist, demographer and futurist.
His consulting practice concentrates on providing advice for real estate owners and developers and he serves the legal community as an expert witness in real estate related litigation.
His book The Great Divide analyzes the demographic patterns that shape the world and the United States in particular over the next quarter century.
Alan holds graduate degrees from Stanford and American Universities He is co-founder of the UCSD Economics Roundtable, a member of the Advisory Board of the UCSD Real Estate and Development Program and an elected Fellow of the LAI Land Economics Society and the Land Economics Foundation.

Regional Economic Update
Alan will discuss the state of the economy and its relationship to COVID-19 in San Diego County and opinion on the real estate conditions in the 3rd and 4th quarters of this year. His outlook focuses on why the recovery will be a "V" not a "U" in San Diego.
