This discusion will be about tax developments past, present and future which will prepare us to understand estate planning in the 2020's and how the recent SECURE Act will change our strategies with clients. It will address the tension between the private sector and the public interest and will include personal stories, political anecdotes and approaches to apocryphal uncertainties for the future

“Ed Brennan is a certified specialist in Probate, Estate, Trust and Tax law in the state of California. He has been practicing law for five decades and is a partner at Brennan & Roland here in San Diego. Ed is also is a past President of this Estate Planning Council. He attended the University of San Diego Law School and is also a retired Naval officer. He has been published numerous times over his career and has spoken at events for institutes and estate planning council throughout our region. We are very lucky to have Ed join us for this topical presentation on Pension Reform.
